reasons I watch professional soccer:
- my mom scaring all the other Germans in the bar with her high-pitched noises at every goal
- my mom fiercely scolding the other team for every foul
- my mom yelling at her team as though they can hear her
- my mom clutching my hand and jumping up and down at every penalty kick
- my mom’s deteriorating English grammar as the game progresses
- my mom slowly beginning to feel bad for the other team and asking her team to go easy on them if they are winning by a sufficient margin
